World Youth Horizons respects the privacy of donors, volunteers, partners, and visitors. This policy describes the information handled through this website and the services connected to it.

Information you choose to provide

The site may collect information you submit through its forms, including:

  • Your name and email address when you request quarterly updates.
  • Your name, email address, phone number, location, and message when you contact us or express interest in volunteering.
  • Details about equipment, supplies, services, or other in-kind support you offer.
  • Any other information you include voluntarily in a message.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information that is not needed for your request.

Donations

Online donations are submitted through a form hosted by JotForm. PayPal processes the primary donation payment under its own terms and privacy practices.

World Youth Horizons may also receive donation records from Every.org for existing Every.org donations and supported alternative giving methods. Those records may include a donor’s name, email address, donation amount, donation date, frequency, payment method, designation, or message when Every.org makes that information available.

A donor’s name is not added automatically to the public Donor Wall merely because JotForm, its payment provider, or Every.org shared information with World Youth Horizons. Public recognition requires separate, explicit approval. Exact individual donation amounts are not displayed beside donor names.

Technical information

When you submit a form, the site may record limited technical information such as your IP address and browser user-agent string. This information helps protect forms from abuse, investigate delivery problems, and maintain website security.

Cloudflare Turnstile is used to distinguish legitimate submissions from automated abuse. Turnstile may process technical information as part of that verification.

How information is used

World Youth Horizons may use submitted information to:

  • Respond to questions and requests.
  • Manage volunteer and in-kind support inquiries.
  • Send quarterly updates when you sign up for them.
  • Maintain donation and accounting records.
  • Send donation-related support or recognition communications.
  • Protect the site, forms, and organization from fraud or abuse.
  • Meet legal, tax, audit, and recordkeeping obligations.

World Youth Horizons does not sell personal information.

Service providers

The website uses service providers that process information on behalf of World Youth Horizons:

  • Cloudflare provides website hosting, form protection, serverless functions, and D1 database storage.
  • Resend delivers form notifications and confirmation emails when configured.
  • JotForm hosts the primary online donation form, and PayPal processes its donation payment.
  • Every.org may process existing recurring donations or alternative giving methods and provide records for reconciliation.

These providers handle information under their own contracts, security practices, and privacy policies. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect the rights or safety of the organization or others, or in connection with a lawful organizational transition.

Data retention and security

World Youth Horizons keeps information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including operational, security, accounting, audit, tax, and legal requirements.

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask to:

  • Stop receiving quarterly updates.
  • Correct information you submitted.
  • Request deletion of information when it is no longer required for legal, tax, audit, security, or operational purposes.
  • Withdraw permission for future public donor recognition.

Children

This website is designed for donors, volunteers, partners, and other adults supporting the mission. It is not intended to collect personal information directly from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information may contact us to request review and removal.

The site may link to third-party websites. World Youth Horizons is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the website, services, or legal requirements change. The date at the top of the page shows the latest revision.
